How much will it cost?
The average cost is 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of replacement.
Can I get a price over the phone?
No. We need to look at every job before we price it. Other
issues, such as our ability to get our equipment to the
area, play into the cost factor. Sometimes a project is
not a candidate for mudjacking, and replacement may be a
better solution. We do not charge for estimates.
What time of year can this process be done?
We end our season in late November/early December. We begin
our season again in early March.
How long until I can walk/drive on the raised concrete?
The concrete is available to foot traffic as soon as we
are finished mud-jacking. Vehicle traffic should be kept
off for 12 hours. Pools can be used right away provided
the concrete used to patch the holes is kept dry.
How long will it take?
An average job takes 2 to 5 hours. Some swimming pools can
take the better part of a day.
Is this a ‘green’ alternative?
Yes. The amount of energy consumed in the manufacturing
of concrete is tremendous. (Limestone needs to be heated
to 2000° Fahrenheit to become cement.) If your concrete
is in good order, leave it in place, and let us raise and
level it instead.
Will I see the holes?
Most probably, yes. The concrete patch in the holes will
be a different color and texture than your original concrete.
However, over time, the colors of the old and new will blend
together, but the texture may remain different. We tell
people it makes interesting cocktail party conversation.
Some people embrace the holes because this shows they chose
the responsible alternative.
What about my landscaping?
We will not affect or disrupt your landscaping. Our product
is natural, and any residue will wash into the ground with
no effect.
Will pumping near my foundation wall affect it?
No. The pressure of our slurry is quickly diminished by
using a low volume pump.
Do I need to cover my pool before it is mud jacked?
No. In fact, the pool cover needs to be off so we can monitor
the sides of the pool and the coping, if one is in place.
How long will it last?
There is no reason why this process won’t last as
long as the concrete, provided water is kept from washing
the soil out from under the concrete. We guarantee our work
for one or two years depending on the age of the concrete.
The seam around the concrete needs to be caulked with a
waterproof caulk. We do not provide a guarantee on our service
when we raise sidewalks around a tree root.
